Those wishing to spend their winter engaged in some great skiing in a great atmosphere will want to check out Stowe, Vermont. Few resorts in the east receive the sheer amount of snowfall that this area of the famed state receives, with yearly averages reaching 333 inches per year. Flying during the winter isn't particularly hazardous, but as a precaution, purchasing travel guard insurance is always a good idea when travelling to another part of the continent.

Vacationers hoping to escape their native land for a little while, but don't want to travel far, can go to Stowe for the great dining and amazing resorts. The town has a number of spas that cater to the world-weary and can reconstruct tired constitutions with a few hours of massage or restorative mud bathing. This capital of Vermont's skiing industry also provides amazing lodges complete with wood hearths that will keep visitors warm while the snow falls outside the door.

Winter is best experienced in an area far from home. Stowe epitomizes the winter refuge and is a spectacular destination for ski-minded individuals who crave comfort when off the slopes.
