St. Kitts and Nevia, a quiet island destination - Image

The federation of St. Kitts and Nevia comprises two small islands in the lesser Antilles region of the Caribbean. This low-key vacation destination is perfect for those who wish to escape the confines of more populated areas and still enjoy a beach-focused location. Purchasing trip cancellation insurance, before flying, can give travellers flexibility in case any unforeseen occurrence interrupts their plans.

The government of Nevis has incorporated a number of laws protecting the natural beauty of the islands, which helps to reduce the height of buildings and decrease the amount of construction in certain areas. Because of these steps, Nevis and St. Kitts have a large amount of unspoiled beaches and sweeping views where no hint of civilization may be apparent.

One of these areas, a long peninsula known as Frigate Bay, is located in the south of St. Kitts. Visitors to this part of the islands can swim or hike at their leisure and later stop at one of the few small bars or restaurants for sustenance. Those who wish to explore the rest of the island's attractions can visit one of the many historic sites as this part of the Caribbean was once highly sought after by many European conquerors. Nevis offers a glimpse of the past within a perfectly restored package of how it appeared when settlers first arrived.
