The royal wedding is less than two weeks away, and it appears as though London is already preparing for the high volume of travellers who are expected to visit the city in order to catch a glimpse of Prince William and his Princess-to-be, Kate Middleton.
The Vancouver Sun reports that a number of people in the hospitality industry are making last-minute preparations, as hundreds of thousands of travellers are expected to arrive in the Westminster Abbey area on April 29. The news provider reports that there are more than 90,000 hotel rooms in London, giving people plenty of accommodation options.
People who are on Europe travel specifically to see the Royal wedding will surely have a lot of selections for souvenirs, including objects that they need for commuting. The Associated Press reports that commemorative London travel cards that feature the images of the young betrothed couple are going on sale starting this week.
The 750,000 travel cards are the first limited edition version of the city's Oyster Card, which is what travellers utilize for London's public transportation system including buses and subways.
