According to the Vancouver Sun, there are a number of quirky things to see while visiting Houston, Texas. As there are no zoning bylaws, people have been able to go to town on some of their establishments, hoping to turn a few heads.
For example, the news provider reports that the Beer Can House is a must-see. Back in 1968, owner John Milkovisch could not afford to insulate his home, which is why he flattened a number of empty beer cans and nailed them to his house. After he died, Milkovisch's house became a museum.
Of course, there are other sights to be seen as well that give a more traditional feeling to tourists.
Those who are planning to travel to Houston may want to consider investing in a Houston CityPASS, which includes entrance to such attractions as the Space Center Houston, the Downtown Aquarium, the Houston Museum of Natural Science and the Houston Zoo. There are also two passes that come with the option of either the Museum of Fine Arts or the Children's Museum of Houston, or the George Ranch Historical Park or the Health Museum.
