People who are planning to visit British Columbia should definitely try some of the local seafood, as it's a popular fare for the area.

According to the Vancouver Sun, tourists can take the opportunity to go fishing in order to get an idea of the local cuisine. The West Coast Fishing Club (WCFC), which is located off the coast of British Columbia, features a 50-mile Gourmet Feast and Fishing Experience.

The news provider reports that the WCFC features a number of culinary weekends throughout the year, where visitors can not only fish, but also can meet some of the top gourmet chefs in the area.

British Columbia's tourism website reports that there are more than 20,000 kilometres of coast line, which give plenty of opportunities for tourists to go fishing and maybe catch their own dinner.

People who are interested in fishing may want to try Vancouver, Whistler or Vancouver Island, as all of these places offer some great game such as salmon and trout.
