People who are looking for festivals as part of the itinerary in their family travel may want to consider heading to the Nanaimo DragonBoat Festival, which will be held in Nanaimo, British Columbia, at the Maffeo-Sutton Park.
Located on the waterfront, people will be able to enjoy the goods of a number of local vendors as well as watch the Spirit of the Dragon Boat Racing, which teams from both British Columbia and the U.S. will take part in.
The event's website suggests that this is the most popular celebration for Nanaimo, and it will also allow people who are touring British Columbia to see something they may not otherwise get the opportunity to behold.
Taking place from July 8 to July 10, visitors can choose to stay for the whole festival or just add it to their itinerary as they continue to explore the Canadian country.
Additionally, attending the event will go toward helping a good cause, as the festival's entire purpose is to raise money and awareness for local patients fighting cancer.
