In Intensive Care for nine days.

I travelled to Mexico last winter for a two week holiday. On the fourth day there I took sick and ended up in Intensive Care for nine days in Mexico. I spent eleven days altogether in hospital.

Thank goodness I had Travel Guard insurance which looked after me great and got me back home safe. We, of course, missed our regular flight home but a new flight was arranged by Travel Guard and a nurse came and travelled with us to get me safely home without any complications. I was well looked after and any extra expenses we had were looked after when we arrived home.
